Bethlehem has a rich history of service to this community dating back to 1939, when Mr. & Mrs. S.H. Clements first moved to Louisville and joined Farmdale Baptist Church. They determined that the children in the area needed Christian instruction which led to a Sunday afternoon Bible School program sponsored by Farmdale. The program would eventually expand into what would become an independent church we know as Bethlehem on June 27, 1945. Members walked down Preston from Vim Drive to our current location on July 4, 1954.

Our church has grown in space over the years through the efforts of outstanding pastors, but out goal has remained the same: to preach the truth of God's Word, be a welcoming place where folks can meet Jesus and feel loved.
